GoPro is well known for its action cameras, but aesthetically they haven’t changed a huge amount in the last couple of years. Would many people be able to tell a Hero3 from a Hero4 at a glance? Probably not. The Hero4 Session, however, is a different matter altogether. The camera has been shrunk to make it GoPro’s lightest, smallest yet. It’s waterproof and will take a bit of abuse – a given for a GoPro camera – and can be operated with one button. Video is 1080p at 60 frames per second, and photographs are captured in eight megapixel resolution. You don’t need the separate housing any more, and all the good stuff about the GoPro – the time lapse mode, auto low light and so on – are all present and correct.
