Feb 4, 2004: Facebook is founded by Mark Zuckerberg and co-founders Dustin Moskovitz, Chris Hughes and Eduardo Saverin.

September 2004: Facebook’s “wall” launches, allowing people to post messages to friends on the site.

December 2004: More than one million people are now using the site.

April 2006: Facebook’s first mobile interface launches.
