Amsterdam-based technology consultancy group BearingPoint plans to increase its Dublin headcount to 340 amid expected growth in its international regulatory technology (regtech) business.

The company has announced 40 new vacancies in its Irish team, with roles for project managers, data analysts and software developers. It said this was on foot of its regtech team growing its market share in Europe, North America and the Far East.

The idea of its technology is to steer banks and other financial services companies away from risky business practices, according to BearingPoint country leader Eric Conway. The new employees will work on these products as well as BearingPoint’s digital ecosystem and data analytics software.

BearingPoint, which works with several Irish and international financial institutions and banks, has an established regtech centre of excellence at its headquarters on Adelaide Road in Dublin.
