Builders merchanting and DIY group Grafton has completed the acquisition of Gedimat-Ginion, a single branch general merchanting business located in Brussels for an undisclosed sum.
The annoucement comes exactly one month after the group announced it was to acquire Direct Builders Merchants, a general merchanting business in the UK.
The company, which operates the Woodies DIY chain across Ireland, and also has operations in the UK, also acquired the Brussels-based Binje Ackermans SA, a six-branch builders merchanting business based in Brussels and trading under the Mpro brand a year ago.
Grafton said the acquisition of Gedimat expands and complements its coverage of the Brussels market following the purchase of Mpro.
Gedimat had revenues of revenues of £3.2million (€4.1million) in the year to end-June 2014.
