There's a rejig underway at the Dublin branch of Edelman, which says it is the world's largest PR agency and whose clients here include Ryanair and Musgrave. It is understood that MD of its Irish operation, Mark Cahalane, and his deputy, Geraldine O'Neill, are moving on and that a consultation process is underway.
The news has been the talk of the notoriously gobby Dublin PR scene because Cahalane, who refused to comment, spent eight years building up the unit. The experienced Joe Carmody has taken over as acting head of the Dublin operation, which is chaired by former Fianna Fáil TD Jim Glennon. The impending exits come shortly after the arrival of a new sheriff ... sorry ... European chief executive, Michael Stewart, who joined from McKinsey.
The unit is being "aligned" with the UK operation. Carmody will report to the chief executive of Edelman UK, Ed Williams, who insisted to me that "operational management and decision making remains in Dublin".
Dizzy yet?
