There is no doubt that Ireland is choc-a-bloc with British fashion retailers and imported design in both homewares and accessories. But as a counterweight to the influx from our neighbours, Arnotts is driving its Love Irish Design initiative for the second season running.

The initiative is designed to nurture, support and promote both emerging and established Irish designers. New Irish brands and designers in Arnotts this season include Orla Kiely fashion, accessories and homewares, Melissa Curry jewellery, Chupi jewellery, Fawn fine-art prints, Little Hill wooden chopping boards and Roisin Linnane fashion.

Great appetite
Irish brands and designers already supported by Arnotts include Peter O'Brien fashion, Paul Costelloe fashion, Lennon Courtney fashion, Ali Nash jewellery, Jennifer Slattery textiles, Cloon Keen Atelier candles, Klickity lighting and Little ABC frames.

Gillian Clarke, head of marketing at Arnotts, says: "As Ireland's largest and longest-established department store, Arnotts has always supported Irish design and we are delighted to continue the Love Irish Design initiative again this season.
