The Camogie Show, Treyvaud Travels and On the Road with Lisa are among the 30 new programmes that will be broadcast on Irish TV (slogan: "local stories, global audience") in the months ahead.

Recently retired Cork star Anna Geary will host the camogie series, which has been produced in association with Munster Camogie Council, and intends to "inform viewers of what the sport means to so many people".

Chef Paul Treyvaud will present nine-part travel-cookery hybrid Treyvaud Travels, which will showcase "stunning" locations around Ireland, while journalist Eamonn Mallie will interview public figures in Eamonn Mallie Meets.

Country music singer Lisa McHugh is the Lisa of On the Road with Lisa, in which she takes other country musicians "out of their comfort zones" to learn new skills, while Out and About in the USA explores life in New York, Boston and Chicago from an Irish-American perspective.

Throw in three-day live coverage of the National Ploughing Championships and it all ads up to some 2,000 hours of home-produced content.

“As we approach autumn 2015 and into 2016, Irish TV is aiming to keep its brand awareness on the rise,” says chief executive Pierce O’Reilly.

Backed by entrepreneur John Griffin, Irish TV is aimed at the diaspora, with a presence of some kind in 140 countries, and it is also available to view in Ireland online, on Sky channel 191 and on Eircom's eVision channel 191.
