Software firm Aris Global is to create 50 jobs in Dublin as it expands European operations.

The firm, which employs more than 700 people in India, the US, UK, Europe and Japan, has already begun recruiting for the high quality roles.

The company provides software solutions for pharmacovigilance and safety, regulatory affairs, clinical research and medical information.

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton welcomed the jobs, saying it was in line with the Government's aim to attract investment from the health and life sciences industry.

He said it "sends a clear message that Ireland offers a strong business environment in which companies can expand and grow their global presence which will result in the creation of valuable job opportunities for this economy".

The investment is supported by the Government through IDA Ireland.

Chief executive and president Deepak Abbhi said the expansion would enable Aris Global to become a leader in providing cloud based services for pharmaceutical research and development, in addition to strengthening sales and marketing and services delivery for the company’s European market.

"Ireland was chosen as the location for this operation due to the availability of a highly-skilled and flexible workforce and a competitive, pro-business environment," he said.

The expansion is being supported by IDA Ireland, with chief executive Barry O'Leary describing it as "an important win" in developing the pharmaceutical regulation and compliance industry.
