A three-star hotel in Waterford city is to be offered for sale at more than €4 million on the instructions of receiver Tom Kavanagh of Deloitte.

Dan O’Connor of agents JLL is handling the sale of the 98-bedroom Viking Hotel on a 2.3 acre site on the Cork Road, off the Waterford by-pass. There is also a busy bar, a restaurant and six dedicated meeting rooms with ample parking in the grounds.

The hotel is presently operated by the Prem Group and is being offered for sale on the basis of a freehold title and full vacant possession.

O’Connor said they were expecting good buyer interest given the hotel’s strong existing cash flow and its rapidly improving trading performance.
