NATIONAL ASSET Management Agency (Nama) head of lending and corporate finance Graham Emmett has left the agency to return to the UK. Mr Emmett joined Nama in April 2010. He is a former head of European property financing at Goldman Sachs.

His role involved the provision of working capital and other loans to clients of Nama, primarily to complete viable projects.

He joined Nama having worked with Ernst Young in London, dealing with the liquidation of the property loan book of Kaupthing Singer Friedlander.

A spokesman for Nama said the board of the State loans agency wanted to pay tribute to Mr Emmett for his contribution over the past two years.

Other staff changes were announced yesterday. Frank O’Connor, head of treasury with Nama, is being promoted within the National Treasury Management Agency to deputy director of debt management, reporting to Oliver Whelan. Dave McEvoy is Nama’s new head of treasury.
