Lassarat to replace Power as Kentz chief financial officer

Former CFO of Universal Pegasus International brings 20 years of global experience to role

Kentz chief financial officer Ed Power is to step down from his position at the end of May, the engineering and construction group has announced.

Mr Power, who reaches retirement age on May 29th, will be succeeded by Meg Lassarat, who has more than 20 years of global financial experience.

She most recently served as chief financial officer of the Houston-based engineering firm Universal Pegasus International.

“[She] has been instrumental in driving growth, identifying strategic alternatives and delivering positive bottom-line results in her career to date,” the company said in a statement.

She has held several other senior finance positions in the energy and resources sector since qualifying as an accountant in the US in 1989.

During her time as chief financial officer of Mustang Engineering, Ms Lassarat oversaw a five-fold increase in revenue to over $1 billion, and business expansion outside the US into Canada, Europe, Australasia and the Middle East.

Mr Power will remain at Kentz until August.
