With commercial property sales still running strongly, the Swedish multinational technology company Ericsson has opted to auction its former offices at the Adelphi Centre in Dún Laoghaire, Co Dublin, on November 14th.
Michelle O’Flynn of Lisney has indicated that there will be a disclosed reserve of €3.5 million for the landmark complex which extends to 5,782sq m (62,248sq ft).
The offices were first offered for sale two years ago at €4.95 million but there were no takers.
The late 1990s buildings – known as blocks D, E and F – are designed to allow them to be divided into two separate, self contained blocks. They were built to a high specification that includes raised access floors, suspended ceilings and a mix of gas fired central heating and localised air conditioning. There are 47 car parking spaces at basement levels. The buildings are currently configured as a training centre with associated support areas and office accommodation.
The Adelphi Centre offers sea views from some of the upper floors and, because of its location in the centre of Dún Laoghaire, has easy access to the Dart and bus services. The Dart provides efficient, reliable transport to the city centre within 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, agents Knight Frank have indicated that they have agreed sale terms on Block B in the same complex.
