The AIB Start-up Academy, an intensive eight week training programme run by Irish Times Training, entered its third day of modules on Monday, February 9, in which all 11 finalists had a day-long module on finance.
The finalists were introduced to finance by this week's mentor Gerry Delaney (Managing Director of Kendlebell Kimmage). The module covered the financial and accounting fundamentals of running a business, ranging from basic daily bookkeeping requirements to recording transactions and to how to properly management accounting information in order to help you put your business on the firmest footing possible.
The next module is Monday, February 16, which will cover sales and negotiation with mentor Sean Weafer, an expert on high-trust business development.
