Total Produce chief executive earns €905,000 in 2014

Fruit and vegetable distributor Total Produce handed chief executive Rory Byrne a handsome paycheck of €905,000 last year, the company's annual report shows.

The figure was only marginally up on the €897,000 he took home the previous year.

Of his total remuneration, €318,000 was a performance-related award, while €152,000 related to pension contributions.

Chairman Carl McCann received a total pay packet €719,000 for 2014, also marginally up on 2013, of which €200,000 was a performance-related award.

Finance director Frank Davis received €568,000, of which €169,000 derived from bonus awards, as well as a €91,000 pension contribution.

Director of financial strategy and development Frank Gernon received €130,000 last year, including a €20,000 bonus, which was substantially below the €336,000 he received in 2013.
