4 cert, Facebook, IOS ****
Joining Messenger, Pages and the Facebook mobile app, the social network has now launched its very own camera app for mobile. The new app addresses some of the frustrations with the general mobile site. Friends’ photos are all in one place, allowing you browse easily. And of course you can take and upload some of your own directly to Facebook. It combines the
same functionality that Facebook has built into its mobile set, namely the ability to tag and add locations to photos, with the standard editing functions you’ve come to expect from iOS’s Camera app – cropping, adding filters and applying effects to make your photos look retro, black and white or simply mess about with contrast. It’s not quite Instagram, but it looks a bit familiar. Crucially, Facebook Camera allows for batch uploading, so the days of painfully uploading one photo at a time are now a distant memory. The camera will access your photo library too, so you can polish up all those old, long-forgotten photos lurking on your device, and share them with your friends.
