A man in his early thirties is fighting for his life in a Cork hospital today after being stabbed repeatedly in a knife attack in the city early this morning.
The man was attacked at a house in Dominic Street at around 3.30 a.m.
The man called an ambulance himself by using his mobile phone. He was then rushed to Cork University Hospital where he has been undergoing emergency surgery.
He is said to be in a critical condition.

Gardaí have sealed off the house for a technical examination and are carrying out house-to-house inquiries.
