A 34-year-old man was remanded in custody today in a Dublin District Court charged with the murder of a man in Tallaght on St Stephen’s Day.

Mr Shay Wildes appeared before the Dublin court charged with the murder of Mr Joseph Cummins in Tallaght on December 26th.

Mr Cummins (48), who was from Dunaghmore Crescent in Tallaght, died after being shot three times last Wednesday.

Mr Wildes, who has an address at Corbally Park, Tallaght, was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Clover Hill District Court on January 4th.

No application for bail was made on behalf of Mr Wildes.

Two other people, a man and a woman, who were being questioned in connection with the shooting have been released and a file has been sent to the DPP.
