Ryanair today got its knuckles rapped for advertising an airport 60 miles outside Germany's financial capital Frankfurt, as Frankfurt-Hahn.
A German court has banned the budget airline from advertising its new base as being Frankfurt-Hahn rather than just Hahn.
The state court in Cologne ruled in favour of Lufthansa, Germany's biggest airline, which has its hub at Frankfurt's main airport and had objected to Ryanair's advertising.
A lower court in Cologne had previously rejected a similar protest from Lufthansa.
Ryanair said last November that, starting in February, it would make Hahn its second base in continental Europe. Its existing bases are Dublin, London's Stansted and Charleroi, Belgium.
Ryanair often uses airports outside major cities, such as Prestwick in Scotland which is 40 minutes away from Glasgow, because of their cheaper service charges.
