More than 400 attended the Harvey Nichols autumn/winter show yesterday in a disused Dundrum car park transformed for the event. The 40-minute show featured 16 models, with Amy Huberman, Lorraine Keane and Yvonne Keating among the guests. Styled by Niamh O’Rourke, the seasonal line-up covered key looks through a mix of brands such as D&G, DKNY, McQueen, Nicole Farhi and MaxMara, alongside newcomers Tibi, Rebecca Taylor and Alice & Olivia.
The opening trio of Alexander Wang’s slouchy overlaid soft jerseys, Pinko’s leather biker jacket with shorts and McQueen’s long black cardigan sweeping over a tartan dress were different takes on modern streetwear. Vivienne Westwood’s patchworked tweed capes and tartan skirts were fun and a multicoloured sequined dress in berry shades terrific.
The finale, a line-up of red carpet dresses, stretched from a tight white gown by Emilio de la Morena and Mary Katranzou’s eye-catching digital print velvet, to Stella McCartney’s slinky black column and a purple silk flapper number by Roksanda Ilinic.
