Lynam lecture:In recognition of the contribution that Joss Lynam (1924-2011) made to outdoor activities in Ireland over 60 years, Mountaineering Ireland (MI) has invited Harish Kapadia, the distinguished Himalayan mountaineer, to deliver the Lynam lecture in the Edmund Burke Theatre, TCD on November 24th.

Kapadia is well-known in the field of climbing and trekking in India. He has led five international expeditions, published 12 books and has edited the prestigious Himalayan Journalfor the past 28 years.

Yoga and walk:Get a Grip Adventures (GAGA) in conjunction with Neal McAloon, a mountain leader and outdoor instructor, have teamed up for half a day of yoga and hill walking tomorrow week. Mountain biking Summit Mountain Biking is taking bookings for its winter skills sessions.

Nordic walkingWicklow Nordic Walking Trekking Group has a hike planned for next Saturday.

The route is from Marley to Enniskerry and is open to those with a good level of fitness.
