A charming thatched three-bedroom cottage, Primrose Cottage, overlooking Curracloe beach, in Co Wexford, is expected to fetch in excess of £100,000 at auction through Wexford agent Barry Kehoe on June 23rd.

The house, which is in very good decorative order, was used by the film crew from Saving Pri- vate Ryan, and has the potential to generate good rental income during the summer months. Located between the villages of Blackwater and Curracloe, 15 minutes from Wexford town, the house is set directly on the road, with its back garden facing towards the sea.

An entrance porch with timber floor leads into the living room, which has a deep fireplace housing a solid-fuel stove.

There is a pine fitted kitchen and the three bedrooms share a bathroom with a Jacuzzi-style bath.
