- HANKERING TO get away from it all? Then have a look at Kylatlea, a 250-year-old thatched cottage near the village of Mullinahone in Co Tipperary for sale through Sherry FitzGerald Walsh at €215,000.
Set on 3.5 acres of grounds that include a large barn, a stream and duck pond (complete with ducks) the protected cottage has plenty of olde worlde charm inside, with its low timbered ceilings and open fireplaces. There’s a good-sized kitchen and parlour downstairs, as well as a bathroom and separate shower room. Upstairs is a single attic bedroom. There are two further bedrooms in a separate wooden chalet-style guesthouse that is heated by a solid fuel stove.
On view Saturday, noon to 1pm
