Gunne Residential is seeking offers in the region of £430,000 for a ninth floor two-bedroom apartment in the Millennium Tower at Charlotte Quay in Ringsend, Dublin 4. It is for sale by private treaty.
Millennium Tower hit the headlines last year when the penthouse apartment on the 15th floor sold for around £2 million.
This ninth floor unit has around 850 sq ft of living space and great views over the Grand Canal basin towards the docklands and across the city. The landmark tower is the highest apartment block to have been built in the city centre and with planners still undecided on their approach to high rise living, it might well be a one-off.
Number 60 has a basement parking space and video security at the entrance, behind the Ocean Bar. There's an impressive lobby decorated in minimalist style, and the talking lift takes one swiftly up to the ninth floor.
Here again, the communal lobby - shared with three other apartments - is well kept and bright, with light coming in through a tall window. Inside the apartment, a narrow hallway leads one first to the two bedrooms and the bathroom before turning a corner to the main room.
Here, the views are the main feature, with wide, floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides overlooking the canal basin and the docklands, and across the city to the mountains.
Though low-ceilinged, it is a big airy room, with plenty of space for living and dining. The pale laminate wood floor runs through the entire apartment.
The kitchen, off the dining area, is a disappointment, partitioned off in a corner with no natural light and a rather ordinary run of units and appliances.
All the furniture is being included in the sale, but new owners would do better to start again with more contemporary pieces to suit the space.
The main bedroom is a spacious double with fitted wardrobe units built around the bed. There is an en suite shower room.
The second bedroom has access to a small balcony overlooking the canal basin.
