If I told you that Anarchy Reigns takes place in the future, what would you imagine? If you picture a dystopian hell with feral gangs, mutants, robots and general lawlessness. You’d be dead right. Anarchy Reigns promises two decent games for the price of one. The single-
player campaign has a western/ sci-fi feel as you play antiheroes in a chaotic world. The open-world gameplay and superhuman fights echo the Prototype and InFamous series, albeit with even less subtlety. But plot and characters matter little when the gameplay is this good. The combat is exciting, complex and rich – you choose between a host of characters and engage fast- paced, tactical and violent combat. The multiplayer is better than the single-player campaign, with brawls in a variety of locations and up to 16 players online, but I really wish it had a local multiplayer option as well. Overall Anarchy Reigns is punky, grimy fun.
